The Statue of liberty, when I first visited the statue of liberty it was on a cold winters day, me and my mom had decided to go and see the world trade center and after being there realised how close we actually were to the statue of liberty, off a whim me and my mom walked down and caught the next ferry out to the statue, it was extremely overcast and almost a bone-white sky, and I remember as we approached the island we circled from the back side of the statue to the front, the second I saw her face I was in absolute awe- I was totally shocked, I had an incredible sensation of where I was standing right there and then- I truly could not believe my eyes, It took me back to the comradery of my country even though I was probably the biggest tourist in America you could think of, I felt a strong connection to the statue, I thought about how immigrants who traveled into New York all saw the same statue I was looking right at, I cannot express in words the emotions that went through my head as I pulled the trigger on this photo, I am forever thankful for the experience and it's something I truly will never forget.
